We went for a morning walk with Indigo our poodle and met our studio gallery, 'by appointment' visitor, at the entrance to our village. 

They were fascinated that we do not appear on the GPS. 
I love this. 
It makes our summer retreat our little reclusive when we want peace and quiet, summer rural home on a street that does not appear on any map.

I got into the back of their car and directed them up to the lake then around several corners keeping the rural setting always on the left hand side of the car until we were facing in the reverse direction we had begun with the row of poplar trees and the oat field on the left and my little home studio retreat with its tiny cottage garden on the right.  "Watch out for the potholes and speed humps" I had bee saying.  Yes we are definitely in mud map country and I love it here.


The sale we made had been pre-arranged; it was this beautiful ceramic wall plaque by M Charnley, that I had originally purchased for my own private home collection, a collection I am now downsizing due to our touring lifestyle.

Beautiful day here in the Goulburn Valley.

It always feels good once you have had a good clean out and that's what I have done in my art studio during the last 24 hours in preparation for the opening this afternoon.

I have also pulled out 1/4 of my stored private art collection of assorted guest artists and my own studio demonstration work and set it up ready for sale and I have been as drastic with the price reductions as I dare to turn these over quickly so I can then begin the downsizing of the second quarter of the collection still in storage.

Reg and I just are not interested in non functional possessions now we have our touring lifestyle and reg isn't interested in doing art exhibitions so home studio gallery showings it is.

I went outside tonight to set up garage sale and I did not have my heart in it...so II called for help to put signs I have had in storage since I closed the beautiful Buninyong Gallery we owned .  I put those road signs up here.   There will be no garage sale there will be a gallery opening.

A carport on a country farm style village in out of the way private land that I don't even own and cannot really invite many people on to, is not 'right' venue for quality art display but ...here goes.  I plan to have something sorted out show tomorrow.  Just getting a drink and I will get back to setting it up.

I cannot imagine I will be able to attract the clientele I need for a gallery to work in this out of the way down market area, it is a far cry from the galleries I owned in the past. But I have decided I want a Gallery again  and this is it.
The signs are up and 'we are open by appointment' again.
